Rumuruti, Laikipia · Est. 1990
Agristead runs a rotational grazing system across multiple paddock blocks, with a 45-day rest cycle that maintains ground cover above 65% at all times. Animals are raised without hormones or growth promoters. Antibiotics are used therapeutically only, with a 21-day withdrawal period enforced before slaughter — the same standard required by KEBS under MS 2382. All slaughter takes place at a KVB-licensed facility in Rumuruti (Facility Ref: KVB-NKI-0044). Each batch produced carries a slaughter certificate number linking the individual animal ID to the final packed product. Agristead's processing hub is located on-farm and holds a current Laikipia County Health Permit.
